Hello,

I am looking to equip a Charger 500 Hemi with wide steel wheels with dogdish hubcaps. I think that these were the standards when this car was sold.

The AMT kit is was reissued sometimes during the last few months. The box cover shows the wheel I want. Alas, not what is in the box...

Cheers,

Patrick:confused:

Sorry,

I could have posted the message in the 'Classifieds' (I didn't think about this, good idea). Oups, I meant to ask where can I get the separate wheels if available? Resin ok. Would there be a donor kit?

Year: 1969
Model: Dodge Charger 500

Mind you, these wheels can be found on other Mopars such as '70 Cudas. They are just plain and ordinary steel rims, with a little chrome hubcap in the middle. They are featured in the MBI books on Hemi-powered models...

Thanks,

Patrick:smile:

you can get a pair out of Revell's Dodge Road Runner. They are tottaly incorrect, but they are better then nothing. They resemble 80's dodge police cars steel rims. 5-Spoke. But, i was reading an article on how to fix them.. just fill the spokes with putty. :icon16:

Thanks for the tip. I got hold of the Revell kit. I think I can now manage to get a hold of the wheels I wanted for my Charger. I am considering to prepare a master (for future castings), because there may be other kits demanding these steel rims.
