So my cousin is offering to sell me his 2000 Chevy Cavalier for a mere $200 dollars; It
has 137,000 miles on it and some unknown issue where the car will work fine for like a
week but then won't start for a day or two. My uncle who is an extremely good
mechanic has offered to fix it for free, I mean I'll have to buy the parts whatever they
might be, but he'll do the labor for no cost. He said it's probably either an electrical
issue or a fuel issue which he claims shouldn't be all that expensive to fix.
I was originally just going to spend $3000 on a nicer used car but I'm thinking this
might be a better deal for the time being. Do you guys think this is worth it? Any rough
idea of how much more I can get out of this car? I just don't want to spend the money
and then have it break down in a month.
Thanks!
