Hi,

after the Camaro ( http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1089927 ) I intended to do another weathered model.

Base is a resin car body of a modified Welly diecast, the side windows were closed. I used salt and hairspray technic.

Hi,

Nice car!!!
Awesome weathering but I think the wheels are to new.

It looks like someone put new wheels on a very rusty old car.
Maybe you could do some weathering on the wheels to give them a ''old '' look.

Nice nice, that's something else than most of your shiny builds

Was it your first time to weather a model?

Do I spot a blue door theme throughout your later builds? :-)

Thanks for the comments

@ modellmaker: the rat rods or -busses are often seen with new and bigger wheels

@ joelwideqvist: I really didnīt realize that up to your posting, but you are right, I should think about that at further Projects :-)

Hey Micha,
CONGRATS!!!!!!! TOP JOB!!!!
I know about these rat-rod-wasted-worn-out-Looks.........absolutely great stuff.
Just a small remark: the wheels won't "fit" from my point of view. I know, it can be seen in flesh often enough that you have chrome-bling-bling-wheels on rats. Vielleicht eine Spur zuuuu groß......
Your bus deserves "cooler" ones.
Again, very nice work, reminds me of something i wanted to do / try loooong time ago.....;-)

Yours
jochen

Thanks Jochen for your words.
Yes, the wheels are a mere matter of taste. The next VW Bus projekt will have "more VW-fitting" wheels ;-)

Hi Micha,

rat style isn't my cup of tea, but I'm always impressed by your skills, especially here to achieve a real looking time effect !!

You could be like the Van Gogh of modeling. Blue eras, red eras... :-)

Realize I said nothing of the model besides the door remark...
I really like tha patination and how you closed the windows. I must try a rustu rat bike at some time.

Nice job!!! The mis-matched panels, the trash on the seats, the decals all come together very nicely.
