Because the wing on the 911 GT3 apparently wasn't big enough

Is the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 (http://autoweek.com/article/car-reviews/2014-porsche-911-gt3-gets-reloaded) not enough for you? Well, you might want to get your head examined -- its 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds and top speed of 196 mph are almost certainly too much for any non-FIA-licensed mortal to handle.
But if you’re of a mind to get an even faster Porsche (that isn't the 918 Spyder (http://autoweek.com/article/car-reviews/first-drive-porsche-918-spyder)) anyway, here’s the 2015 911 GT3 RS. It gets a bigger wing and more ducts and, since we’re guessing it’s not just an appearance package, output in excess of the regular GT3’s 475 hp and 324 lb-ft. It’ll probably shed some weight compared to the GT3 as well, if Porsche’s typical RennSport -- that stands for "racing sport" and it's where the “RS” comes from -- template is followed. Don’t expect a lot of creature comforts in the cockpit; maybe stick to the 911 Carrera GTS (http://autoweek.com/article/car-reviews/porsche-911-carrera-gts-drive-review)if that's what you're looking for.

What is it?Here's what the 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is: the ultimate naturally-aspirated Porsche. No, wait, that's the GT3. It's the ultimate roadgoing 911. Wait, that's the Turbo ...

Safe to say there won’t be a manual transmission option; some version of the GT3’s PDK seems likely. We didn’t mind the gearbox in that car, and we almost certainly won’t mind it here -- we’ll probably be too busy marveling at its perception-altering speed and grip to work a clutch properly, anyway.
We’re not sure where or how Instagram user johan9ff (http://instagram.com/johan9ff/)stumbled upon this apparently undisguised GT3 RS, but we’re glad he risked life and limb to post pictures online for our benefit. There are lots of splattered bugs on the grille, so it looks like it’s a tester that’s seen a fair amount of exercise -- hopefully that means official photos and specifications aren’t too far away.
