motor swap

Hello. I have an 89 Dodge Aries. It currently has a blown 2.2L engine. I am wondering if the 2.5L motor will fit in this car? The 2.2 is getting hard to find. and I have located a 2.5L.

Should be a fairly easy swap. 2.2 and 2.5's were known as "common blocks" although there wasn't much in common on the internal parts. ( cranks,pistons,etc were different). Make sure you grab the logic and power modules from the donor car. They may be combined into one module in later year models. Grab the mounts too.
