HI all,
Who do you all use in Sydney for servicing your Skyline for;

1. general service (oil / filters etc) and what do you pay?

2. Mods & tuning

3. Full tilt stuff

There are a few shonks out there especially some of the parramatta Rd boys, so it would be good to know which places people trust.

hills motorsport will be the only workshop touching my R32 - price + work quality + service and attitude = all top notch..

HI Unfam,
I know where that complex is cos I test drove a car at UAS. Did you ever have any work done by them ?

had a checkup, they fixed my suspension (was uneven and crap) did the little things like clean out my air filter and lotsa advice on the car..

to date has hardly cost me a tank of petrol ! :)

But dont take my word for it only, Prank also takes his car there, and theres some shit hot cars in the workshop now (awesome series 6/7 RX7 with a full rebuild, GTR's being rebuilt.. they have a good rep and they dont advertise - yet they are still working all the time :)

good blokes too

I get all my work done at Hills, I couldn't have hoped for a better workshop, everything they have done has been fantastic and very well priced!! I will not take my car anywhere else!

I've had some work done at UAS and wasnt terribly impressed. I took the car there was because it was Fresh Of the Boat from Japan (I imported mylsef, saved $5,000-$10,000 easily) and wanted to have a full inspection carried out on the car, including a Nissan Consult Diagnosis computer plugged in, etc. and a DYNO Tune and I had a pneumatic Turbosmart Boost controller which I got them to install while it was there. I had a Junior mechanic working on the car, he might have given the various systems a visual check, but I very much doubt it. The Consult never touched the car (the kick panel covering the ECU hadnt been touched). Also, their DYNO is RWD only, which obviously is not the ideal way to tune a 4WD car. The boost controller itself took about 5 hours to install, it shoud of taken a professional not even half as long.

While the Juniour Mech seemed quite good - I didnt take the car to U.A.S. and pay handsomely (it was not cheap!) to have it serviced by a juniour and I'd love to know why it took so bloody long.

Since then I've taken the car elsewhere (local mechanics) and have been quite happy. I think I might try the Hills lads next time.

For anyone interesed here's the U.A.S. DYNO Result: RB20DET, running 13psi, K&N Pod Filter and a Hurricane Dump Pipe and a 3" exhaust system is making 150kw@ at the rears. Next I want to see what sort of difference it would make if the Catalytic converter's guts fell out and change the pod to a cutom cold-air induction system. Also cant wait to see what a front-mount can do to that figure.
