Hmm hello fellow Initial D fans, I have a chance to purchase the Initial D game for Ps2 as I would LOVE to!, but Im assuming all audio will be in Japanese. So I was wondering if theres any chance of it having English Subtitles (lol) yea, If I got the game and dont know one word of Japanese could I still be able to play the game and understand where to go and such?...Thanks alot

:frown: K, I just found out I have to have a Japanese Spec PS2 console to play the game. Well that puts a hole into my plans but I think Im going to buy a Jap Spec Ps2 because I have found about 3 games for Jap Ps2s that are dedicated only to Drifting so. But for now I think Im gonna use this money and buy all the Initial D dvds...woo woo :bigthumb:

i have a japanese PS2, but i didnt know initial D was out yet! cool, im gonna look for it, maybe buy it.
those other drift games you are talking about, i have Touge 3, battle gear 2, and i want to get kaidou battle. they are pretty good. battle gear is more of an arcade style. touge 3 is great you can unlock the keiichi tsuchiya version ae86 its crazy. i cant wait for GT4!!!

If you get a mod chip would you be able to play US games on the PS2 even though you have the chip in there?

the release titles i mentioned are japan only. this means you need either a mod chip or a japanese PS2 to play them.
the mod chip will allow you to play US, Japanese, as well as burned (copies) games. go to modchip.com for a better understanding of mod chips.
also wangan midnight is a good one. kinda like re-vamp of tokyo extreme racer, but on the manga storyline and cars from wangan midnight. VERY cool opening sequence. made me want a 75 fairlady.

theres that one mod chip thats external, it plugs into ur usb and has a little switch on it. but it still requires you to solder one wire, the cool games would be Wangan Midnight, Touge 3, and Initial D...right?
