96 ranger shifting problems

I have a 96 Ranger 3.0 that isn't liking to go into Drive anymore. Sometimes it will go in after 5-7seconds, and other times I have to shift to neutral then back to drive and it will go.

Shift from 2nd to 3rd also has a 2-3 second pause, where it will rev up and slam into gear if I don't let off the gas during this shift.
