Several parked vehicles at an Acura dealership on Chicago's north side were damaged Tuesday when the wall of an adjacent Morton Salt building collapsed, spilling hundreds of pounds of salt.
The avalanche of salt slammed vehicles waiting to be serviced at McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago, local fire department officials said.
The Chicago Fire Department’s office of news affairs reported the downpour in a tweet posted at about 3:15 p.m. EST Tuesday. There were no injuries.
At least six vehicles were covered in salt, and at least three were partially blanketed, ABC's Chicago affiliate reported.
Morton Salt’s slogan -- “When It Rains It Pours” -- is boldly featured on the roof of the plant.
Officials with McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago were not available for comment.
Denise Lauer, a Morton Salt representative, said the company is working with local authorities to review the cause of the wall collapse.
Morton Salt celebrated its 100th anniversary this year. The Chicago facility is for storage and serves the company's entire U.S. market

No injurie is the best thing. It doesn't matter, the Morton Salt will be responsible for the damage! Looking forward to receive the update news about that.
