i have a 2003 golf and would like to know if any other models or years use the same hatch back latch i need to replace it thanks

That is in the 4th generation, 1997 - 2004.

Yup like he said anything Golf MK4 will have the part you need

Yes they have the same hatchback latch, i don't thing is the same on break.
