I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan with the 2.4 Liter I-4. It is very underpowered and has to be floored with the AC on going up even the slightest grade. I need to put in new spark plugs and I am thinking about putting in Double-Platinum. Will this be okay for the engine???

Putting double plat spark plugs will not help power, at least that's what I noticed. The engine is small for that vehicle.

You could always Turbo Charge the van and that will give you more power. It's gonna cost you a little bit (~$3000) so you'll have to determine if it's worth it to you.
When it's all said and done it'll feel like you have a 6 cylinder under the hood.
HTH.

More info on the Turbo can be found at http://www.turbominivan.com/
If you do this you will have one hell of a VAN..! Take a look at the Vids.!
Your issue is NOT the need of a Turbo. Something is not right with the van. If you want to get more power you can free some power up if you look at some Pulleys or Air Intake (CAI)...
Also I'm running 6 Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs and it feels smooth. It's too cold here in the North East now but I also plan on doing a CAI to replace my Air filter as well... That will have to wait till the spring time...
If you do get the Turbo do NOT get Platinum plugs, but you will learn that later on.
Enjoy

MegaMax is right on the money. Sounds like something is wrong with your van.
Remember, the 2.4 is rated for 150 horsepower, much more than the old 2.2 and 2.5 litre engines. For that matter, it beats the Mitsubishi 3.0 V-6, which probably powers more D-C minivans than any other engine.
It ought to sling a base Caravan around without very much trouble. You might want to have a good computer diagnostic test performed.
