crank but no start

I just did a timing chain cause of the play in the mist i also changed plugs wires cap/rotor and the crank sensor harness still no start just spurrs and sputter. We went back to the cap and found on #1 5 and 8 cyclenders are firing im starting to believe that the timing is out and while starting the computer is adjusting itself thats why im getting these results :banghead: any suggestions
