This is my first post.
My battery went dead so I replaced with new. This did not fix the problem so I replaced the alternator. It's working now but the battery light stays on. I think I still have a problem. Any advice?

Welcome to the forum!
Have you tested the charging system now that you have a new alternator installed to confirm the system voltage is what is expected? Are you confident the belt is not slipping? Are you confident all the connections were properly installed and clean? Ground to illuminate the charge system indicator in the instrument cluster comes directly from the alternator.

Make sure all the connections on the alt wiring are secure. I had an issue on one of my cars, can't remember which one.
The battery light came on, but it was a loose connector, I'm thinking it was a single wire connection top of alt, not the main plug though. Best I can remember, I'll look at them.
