Gundam

Anyone watch this stuff i think its great

Just wondering though has anyone seen the original first series 0079 Mobile suit Gundam? Is it worth getting?

I got everything else other than this one and Gundam Seed but i'm waiting to see if all the DVD's for that have come out yet.

I like some of the G Gundam episodes..they're pretty good and the reason I like em is because the fighters are doing all the motions that the Suit does. I think it's pretty cool.

i dunno about that you're intitled to your opinion and i don't mean any disrespect but its probably the worst of the Gundam series all the other ones seem to be a lot more serious G Gundam gets a bit silly when they do the body suit thing on a horse and they ride in outta space on a Horse-Gundam and there are far too much stereotyping going on in that series

There are a couple of movies made before Mobile suit Gundam but i haven't seen them.

I dont know, G Gundam has its strengths but a lot of it is fluff and not really conected to the Gundam story line. I like G for the action-the plot is sort of off and stupid at times, overall its an ok show. I like some of the older Gundam stuff like 0079, 08th MS Team, Z and ZZ.
Havent seen Gundam Seed yet, but from the looks of the Mobile Suits it looks pretty cool.

I've seen Waltz, the origional Movie and some other scattered episodes of other series.

The first movie is good, but I gotta say that Seed is definitly the best so far. I've got Episodes 1-32 at the moment. I need to go get my cousins copy of the rest and my friend is sending me every new episode the day after it's aired in Japan. I think it's at episode 38 0r 39 now.:bigthumb:

I thought that the wing movie changed the Gundams a bit too radically like it had Wings (ERM?) It sorta did but it didn't exactly flap them. It was a bit mad.

I really want to see the new one. I haven't heard anything about it at least people are saying good things about it.

I thought Gundam X was a bit of a let down. Cool intro music but the plot did not seem to thicken and it seemed like the didn't go anywhere. Even though Stardust Memory was only 13 Episodes alot more seemed to happen in it. (also my favourite at the moment)

I think you should buy the original gundam because I bought the gundam game for the ps2 and it was cool. But it was a little hard at first . :thumbsup:

Well if your talking about Gundam games there was a Gundam Battle Online game for the Sega Dreamcast. It was a Japanese game that never made it over the pond. You did battle with your own gundam against other gundams in a free for all battle! Not sure if it had a SP play or not. Also there is another gundam game for the Dreamcast called 0078 Counterstrike or something like that. This is also a mech game that did make it to the US. Well worth it for the Gundam lovers out there! :biggrin:

never really got into gundam probbly cause i found battletech first. But giant robots kick ass regardless of the fact a Altas would own a Alex

that was stupid because they'd ask you to wear those dumb 3D glasses and nothing would happen

Early Gundams?

The only series i haven't got is the Original Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Seed of course i haven't got the original movies.

I have seen the original Gundam and it was really poor animation i couldn't watch it it was slightly ridiculous (not in a G-Gundam way tho).

Sorry to stay off topic but---Battletech was just a rip off from the Robotech TV show. Most if not all the Mech in Battletech was the same, with a few exceptions. Im really surpised that no one got sued over that???

OK you guys got me there the TV show did suck but the board games and books and the such are fun. sorry for being o/t. probbly the best gundam was the one with the stolen one i think 0082?
