Can anyone give me an idea of time involved to replace the water pump?

Sorry about that. It's a 2003. The one quote I got was for 2.8 hours to replace the water pump and thermostat.

Flat rate book time and actual time it takes are usually different. That's how a flat rate guy makes a living, by beating book time. I don't have access to a time guide right now, but I'll check it in the morning.

It took me about 2 hours to do the water pump on my 2005 Yukon Denali, and I had never done anything on this engine before. And that included taking off the old WP and taking it in to CarQuest to match up, and getting new radiator hose and worm-drive hose clamps. Worst part was getting the $%^&$#^&*%$# factory hose clamps off !!!
