Suspension Travel Bumper

Today I installed front Suspension Travel Bumpers on my 2000 GMC Sierra SLE 2500 4x4 6L when I lowered the truck I noticed that the bumpers were hitting the truck and there was no gap between them is this correct or are my shocks gone to.

How many miles have you got on the shocks?
