Fuel Issue on 2006 GP GT

Tried to start my '06 Supercharged 3800 yesterday and got nothing. Plenty of spark from the coils, couldn't smell fuel in throttle body, took out a couple of spark plugs and they were dry, got no fuel out of fuel rail schrader valve, can't hear that comforting hummmm of the fuel pump energizing when key is turned on. Assuming I have a fuel system issue. Car has about 130,000 miles on it. Have a couple of questions I need some help with. I haven't yet checked to see if I have any blown fuses but I will. Assuming fuses aren't the problem, what's my next step? I'm assuming I should disconnect the power supply going to the pump and check for voltage. I'm assuming that circuit will only show voltage for a short cycle at maybe 13-14 volts? If I get voltage there, is it safe to assume I need to replace the pump/sending unit? Does the '06 GT have an access panel under the seat or do I need to drop the tank? If there's an
access panel under the rear seat, what's the best way to get that out, does it have a release system or do you just have to tug on it the old fashioned way? Thanks in advance for any assistance in this matter!

If there is an access panel, it is under the carpetting in the trunk, close to the rear seat.....

Attach a test light to the fuel pump circuit at the harness at the tank......on for 2 seconds with key turned to on.....on steady while cranking.....

I don't think an '06 supercharged engine, still uses the ceramic resistor in the fuel pump circuit......Anyone know?

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured out how to remove the rear seat last night but one of the latches release is being pretty obstinate. Love how they make the handles too short and small to get a good grip on with big hands. Don't want to break it but may end up doing so just out of morbid curiosity! I'll check under the trunk carpet before I break someting. The adventure continues but all advice is welcome and appreciated.....

Access to the fuel pump on my 99 Grand Prix is under the trunk carpet immediately behind the backseat trunk access door.

I still can't get one of the rear seat releases to let go, I don't see any access cover under the trunk mat and I think I found a thread on another site that says that the access covers in the Grand Prix was done away with starting with the 2004 model. Thanks for the input guys, it looks like "drop the tank it is"! I'm getting too old and fat for this stuff!
