i wonder if you hear this a lot, but im looking for the clear taillights that go on a g20. i hear that they are easy to find in europe but almost nowhere in the usa. if anybody has any idea where some would be please tell me. price is not a matter. actually it is since ill have to save up money to get them but if they are for reals then ill be glad to.

If you mean full-out "Altezza" tails, good luck. If you mean P11 tails where the top turn signal lamps are clear but the bottoms are red, then they can be found. I couldn't tell you where, but they can be found.

i dont mean altezza exactly, but i have seen the taillights not from the p11, the p10 with the top white and the bottom red. i have seen them once on a show car and once from some picture and either one will not reply. the p11 would fit in my car but it requires modding to the body of my car. please help anybody.

i know what you*re talking about. they*re in the hyper rev book. i was looking into them a year ago just cause i was bored and smack me if i*m wrong but the price was a little steep, something around $2k... but i bet someone else knows where to get them, and a lot cheaper. they also come smoke//red as opposed to clear//red...

it*s kinda the bible of primera-parts. it*s written in all japanese though. it just kinda shows you what*s out there and prices in yen if you*re lucky enough to find them elsewhere... it*s pretty neat. they have them for most cars.

There's a few people that can import the tails for you. If you are looking to smoke your tails, search for it over at www.g20.net theres some good writeups on it...

They are not a direct fit. Modification is needed.

just wiring....

ales

Not just wiring. THe "bulb holder" of the US model does not fit the light and requires modification.

TIZAO
01-17-2004, 01:56 AM
OH that too?? Yea....i guess your right......dont you try to transfer them?

ales
01-17-2004, 01:58 AM
Transfer what? I once did somebody in the US a favour and bought the lights at the dealership here. When he installed them he told me that the bulb holders didn't fit. But he also told me that it wasn't too hard to make it all work.

TIZAO
01-17-2004, 03:57 PM
I thought you take the old bulb holders and put them in place of the new ones??? OR was that the side markers?

ales
01-17-2004, 04:27 PM
Well, there's no problem if the new lights come with the bulbholders. But the new bulbholders at the dealership cost like 1/2 of the price of the light units themselves IIRC. So modifying USDM bulbholders to fit onto clear lights is a cheaper solution. I can't tell you what modifications are involved though as I have no idea :)

OK well so now you know.......you have to mod the wiring and bulb holder.....you still intersted?

studmfn18
01-18-2004, 09:55 PM
the ony thing i got out of that was, are you still insterested. yes i am still interested but are the bulb holders and wiring all straight forward? i install stereos for a living but just want to know the specifics on some handy work i will be doing
