Hello all, I recently came across a problem that has be completely stumped. I was helping my friend with his T100 last weekend, it has a 3.4L V6, auto 4x4. We changed the cam seals, oil pump seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets and torque converter seal. after that, the engine was pressure washed with a Harbor Freight electric pressure washer (weak :disappoin) and then reinstalled into the truck. after we reconnected everything, filled it with fluids and changed the oil filter, we tried starting it. it came on for like 2 seconds then quit. It's been doing that since Sunday, there is a CEL code P0340, I changed the cam position sensor with a brand new one, but the light is still on and the truck will not run :banghead:... Any help offered will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Perhaps you pinched the wiring harness? You will need to do a continuity check from the sensor connector to the ECU connector. I would do a resistance check as well to make sure the harness hasn't been compromised or shorted. ;)

Start with the basics.
Are you getting spark to th eplugs?
Are you getting fuel to the injectors?
