What are the drawbacks with installing an aluminum flywheel .
What are the effects on performance in terms of improvement in acceleration

Drawbacks:
*Easier to bog off the line.
*Expensive part (to most people)
*Very labor intensive install
*May only be able to be resurfaced a few times depending on the manufacturer
Advantages:
*Lighter weight=faster acceleration as the motor doesn't have to work as hard to spin the flywheel
*Stronger than a lightened stock flywheel, and lighter weight
I'm sure there are more... but i can't think of them right now

Pretty much sums it up. The JUN flywheel cannot be resurfaced, but most of the others I've seen have a replaceable friction ring.
