I'm looking for a replacement engine oil pan for my 2005 Liberty. The problem is, I have the 2.4 liter 4-cylinder, and everyone who sells them only has them for the 3.7L V6. Does anyone have a source I might try? Rock Auto doesn't have them. I've e-mailed Parts Geek and Morris 4x4, but haven't heard back yet. The dealer wants $154 for the pan! That's twice what the 3.7L pan goes for. I may just try taking the old one out and patching it with JB Weld.

Saw a new one on ebay but $115. I think I would find like a local welder, maybe a motorcycle guy who welds thin metals.

If it's a stamped, steel pan and has a crack and not a large hole I'd braze it. If its a crack with a small hole like 3/8" or less I'd still braze it. If its a cast, alloy pan then you should replace it.
