Hi guys!
It has been a long time since I wrote my last post in AF.
Last year, I was lucky enough to visit Tamiya's Plamodel Factory (located in Shimbashi, Japan) and brought myself a 1/12 Ferrari Enzo kit. The price was right too, it was around 25000 Yen ($250).
I have been trying to buy F1 kits whenever I go near "off-line" hobby stores while visiting places. This exercise can get expensive, but every kit I have tells a story.
My sabbatical from building model kits for several years at first seems to be improving financial figures, but the buying never stops for sure. This is the moment that you also realize this hobby never dies.

My latest acquisitions waiting on my floor.
While I was examining the Enzo kit, I recalled I had built a smaller scale six years ago. After a quick search effort, I found my own diary below:

The first time I saw Ferrari Enzo with my own eyes was back in 2006 from the Wynn hotel located in Last Vegas.

The hotel has a decent exhibit on Ferrari collections and Enzo was one of them.
Interesting enough, I have never done a gallery post on this subject. I browsed my hard drive and found a decent number of photos which I can share and call it a completed gallery of my own.
Hopefully, my next subject would be either one of these F1 kits or the 1/12 Enzo...

Lovely work...
Are there any after-market sets used on the Enzo. I have one myself and am researching what is and isn't worth adding to what appears to be an extremely well thought out kit..
Just re-read your post and realised the pics are a 1/24th Enzo... Even more impressed... I thought it was the 1/12th built...

Just awesome. Jaw-droppingly good. I particularly like the way you decided to take it apart stage by stage, instead of building it like the rest of us would have done! ;-P

Amazing build! I like the contrast between the brilliant red of the enzo body and the carbon fiber panels!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciated!
I just added more pictures as I was able to find additional ones from my hard disk. Oddly, all these pictures have taken at different times and they don't flow at all!
Ouch.

Fantastic result! Flawless paint, flawless interiors, so many details, C/F surfaces look really good.... Amazing!

There are lots of detail sets for the Enzo, some for really big $$, like from SMS or Acustion. IMO they are worth adding however (if you like super detailled results), as you can see so much of them with the big opening doors and lids. And you can really do a lot with wires, hoses, braided lines etc.

The 1/24 build is really beautiful - great looking paint and cleanly built. I hope you enjoy the 1/12 and post it once you are finished.

Fantastic build. I still remember following this build many years ago and it inspired to buy parts to build a super-detailed Enzo for myself one day.
Ive purchased 2 Enzo kits and a-million after market bits and pieces.... but I have yet the time to even begin.
Please... this build deserves more pix :)

I am a big Ferrari fan and always wanted for a 1/24 Enzo build, been following your thread for years, definitely one of the nicest builds ever!
I spent quite sometime searching for Acu-Stion, SMS, Lion Roar, Studio 27, etc etc. The many shops I found on-line are either out of stock for most of these PE parts, especially the Acu-Stion suspension kit. Where can I find a one-stop shop for all these? Or where did/do you source them from? Care to shed some lights?
Thanks much.
