Hi I am looking for some type of documentation from Subaru (or somewhere) that states when you replace warped rotors with 4 new ones, you must also replace the brake pads. I need to take this information into a dealership that did this to me. They won't take anyone's word that they did job wrong and are just blowing me off. Now they want $600 to put new brake pads on. So, I'm looking for some documentation somewhere that they may take seriously. Any advice would be helpful. thanks!

Brake pads are replaced when they are worn. If you have enough material left on the pads there is not need to replace them.
But if you want to financially support your dealership go for it.

Some mechanics like to replace rotors at the time of replacing pads. I do not think so. I replace rotors when I need them: for example a pulsation feel when you brake or the rotors are worn below the specification.
But if you want to financially support your dealership go for it. They will love you.

It is quite easy to check your brake pads yourself. If you cannot do it yourself any independent mechanic can do it for a very little money.

Good luck,
Sam
