Best Jaguar XJ220 kit?

Hi, all.... I think I'd like to add one of these to my Jaguar collection. What's the best kit in 1/24? I'm guessing Tamiya, but if anyone knows that the Heller, Italeri or Revell are better, then I'd love to know! (and are all those others the same kit?)

I've built the Tamiya kit and it was great. The only other one I've seen built is the Revell kit and the Tamiya is by far a much, much better kit. I can't speak for the other options.

Tamiya is by far the best. The only glaring inaccuracy on the kit is that the side skirts should be puttied to the body instead of being separate sections. It's a wonderful kit otherwise.

The side skirts were separate from the main body so they could be molded with the side scoops as one piece. Much easier to putty the 2 short ends in front of the side molding than trying to fit the side scoops onto the body sides and smooth out the perimeter.

Here is a comparison of the Italeri (green body/black interior+engine) and the Tamiya (silver body+engine/light grey interior) XJ220:

Is that comparison really saying that both Tamiya and Italeri kits are about 6mm too narrow? I know the XJ220 is ridiculously wide, but still -- I don't fancy trying to add a 6mm "shim" all the way through the centreline of the car...

From Wikipedia the width including the side mirrors is 2220 mm, which calculates to 92.5 mm in 1/24, the same as the web site quoted. The missing 6 mm is probably just the mirrors.

Yeah... that makes sense...

I do not know about the Heller kit, but Revell and Italerie kits are one and the same kit.
