4l80e transmission problem

help! 4l80e 4x4 1994 transmission into a 95 2wheel drive. i have a 1995 rockford bayport rv which had a broken transmission, i managed to get hold of a good 94 4x4 transmission and had the mainshaft from the 2 wheel drive transmission put into the 4x4 transmission. the good 4x4 transmission with the 2 wheel drive shaft is now fitted to the rv but i can only get 1st and reverse gears can anybody help please dave [email protected]:confused:

Better check if the different year PCM's are compatible with the trans you put in. I assume the main connector on the trans is properly connected.

when you say pcm, is that the ecm , engine control module? i know it has different names thanks

Powertrain control module because it now control transmission shifting from 1 thru 4 and lock up.
