New Tires for 08 T4R Ltd

Believe it or not I am just now planing to replace my original tires on my 2008 T4R. I bought it new in August 2008 and have the original Michelin LTX MS tires on it. They have just under 66,000 miles.

I plan to go with Michelin again, probably the LTX MS 2, though the LTX A/T look good as well. I don't do much offroading, but I need a good winter tire and one that will do well towing a camper.

Question, when geting new tires, do I need to tell the dealer to use the existing valve stems because of the tire pressure monitoring system on the vehicle? I presume this is how the system works.

Thanks.

The dealer should know how to deal with the TPMS system without being told. However, the valve stems are part of the TPMS sensor and can't be replaced as you would with a standard tire replacement in a vehicle without TPMS.
