GT40 MK1 1966 Sebring

This is another recent GT40 build replicating #17 Comstock Racing entry in 1966 12 Hour Sebring race. Sister car #18 had a terrible high speed crash which killed the driver so the team then withdrew #17.

I used Vintage Racing Miniatures decals and mixed TS26 and TS7 for the white. Mr. Color 173 was used for the fluorescent red. Modification was required to the front grille opening as this team ran a vertically deeper opening. Some resin carb/injector stacks were sourced off eBay.

Studio 26 body latches were used and Bare metal Foil dulled with silver matte paint was used to replicate tape around the light lenses.
