Has anyone driven one yet? There is a white spec V coming to my local dealership, and I think I'm just going to have to test drive it. I just want to know if anyone has any driving impressions.

Yes, I've test drive the car and IT IS AN AWESOME car. :D I have five people seated in that car that day and I still feel a lot of power. Trust me, it's really not like what Sport Car Compact has said. I used to drive a Ford Probe GT and it's a 7.0 sec car, so i know how it feels to have power. I've already order it.
But damn, in Canada, they only comes in 4 color, vibrant blue, red, black and silver. And I'd like white the most. :(

The price on the car was 18,000 but when they did everything it came out to 25,000 I had to negotiate with them to get the car at 20,000 and interest rate at 6% the funny thing is the dealer is selling some of the cars with aftermarket rims.

WOW $25,000:eek:
I hope u mean that's the cost of teh car after financing for 72 months or something right?
Sorry if my question sound dumb, but it's going to be my first purchase and I don't wantto make any mistakes.

This car is sikkkkkkkkk!
It actually pinned my head to the seat when I launched off!
I chirped all the way into third gear!
But what else could you expect from a 176hp NISSAN POWERPLANT!!!!
Kiss my @$$ honda. I'll be waiting for an ugly civic to get an engine to compete!

20k for mine. That includes taxes, transfer of plates, doc fee, and the 3Gs I owed on my 99 Sentra Limited Edition SLED!!!! I didn't get the best one they had with the sunroof and the Rockford because, my MTX system kicks Rockford's ass and the sunroof adds weight. (Why don't you think the Type-R DOESN'T come with a roof?)
By the way I financed through NMAC at 8% for 60 mos. with only a nickel down.
Hey HONDA :flipa:

What part of Baltimore you live in? I used to live in the city. I went to Morgan State, for 2 years and then moved up. I also went to "City".

:( okay i went to the dealer by where i live, and i have to say this dealer sucked. They didnt even give a rats arss  that i was there and was interested in buying the SE-R. Anyways i finnaly got to go in side of one and i have to sayi didnt like the dezign of the speedometer, it's too close to the driver. Anyways loved the car from the out side though.
OKay the dealer also said that there is no nagotiating, the SE-R is a limited edition car. It was a white SE-R not even Spec V and they wanted 20K+. :bloated: No sun roof no system nothing what a rip.
Humm, is it realy a limited edition car  is that why like each dealer only has like 1 SE-R on their lot???
Well i'm still hopeing to get one by March, hope fully they will let us know when they will come out with more different color interior's soon.

Well I guess lucky me! I got my SE-R Spec V for $500 over invoice which was 16 and change. I brought my first car from them and I sold cars so I got all the rebates and I phat deal. Plus its good to go shopping in December because of X-Mas and its the end of the year. I don't know about the SE-R being limited but I think the Spec-V is. The dealership had one on the showroom floor, silver with the Rockford system, 6-disc in-dash cd changer and a sunroof, and had an addendum sticker on it with $1500 plus for fair market value. I said :flipa: :D But uh just stick to your guns and you'll get a good deal. BTW I like the speedometer because of the orange glow, looks like a BMW. :sun:

I guess i have to move here since i have just traded in my maxima for a spec-V. I tested the spec and found it out performed the max and is easier to park and easier on the wallet!!!:)

Yea it is easier on the wallet. I was going to get a Millenia P, but I'm also looking to buy a house soon so I decided to wait. Next I'm going for a Millenia S.

It was a 95 SE 5 speed. Made in canada model with viscus lsd and a pile of mods.

And you think that the Max is slower than the Sentra?
lockemiester
01-01-2002, 07:36 PM
Not slower but heavier. The sentra feels quicker and is nimbler. It is easy to loose it in the Max because of the heave rear end. The spec is alot more fun to drive.
