Dizzam! Best wedding present evar!

Well Alex and I are gonna FINALLY get married in October, but we are still working on figuring out which SAturday we wanna do it. I've probably already announced it a million times, but you guys love me :D j/k

Anyway, earlier yesterday (Friday) my supervisor came into my office and gave me a card addressed to me and Alex. The envelope felt pretty thick for a card. She told me to open it later that night only when Alex and I were together, no cheating, no shaking the envelope etc. So I was a good girl and didnt do anything with it. I even text messaged him to let him know about it...yes I am a cheezball sometimes. So when Alex got here I handed it to him and told him to open it. Inside there was a card with a note for us saying how she wanted to wait til closer to October to give us "these" but decided we should have them now to plan ahead.....

"these" = 2 coupons for roundtrip airline tickets

So come Monday I am gonna have to give her a great big hug, not only because this was so cool, but will also help tremendously moneywise.

Sean, since the tix are limited to the "continental" US we are thinking of going to Flordia. I have never been there, and I've always wanted to check out Disneyworld and so has Alex :) Other ideas we were toying with were Hawaii or San Diego. Hawaii would be some big bucks so we are thinking of saving that for an anniversary or 2nd honeymoon type trip. I love San Diego but I think it would be fun to explore new territory :D

Taz, you aint kidding! I just got a ton of bills paid off right before I bought the house. But at least a house is not really "debt" since you can put equity into it and sell it for a nice chunk o change. My mother also gave me some EE bonds that my grandmother had for me. She had done this to contribute to wedding funds before she passed away. My mom turned around and invested/doubled them. It's not a whole lot, but alot more than what I had for my own savings. Things are finally falling into place :) :) :)

We decided to do just a small wedding and put most of the $$ into the honeymoon. Maybe just do the justice of the peace thing with just family present then do a big reception after we get back. Hopefully we'll have a BBQ by then so we can throw some streaks on or something.

I would load up a pic of us, but my @#$% computer at home crashed yesterday afternoon. I hope its just the power supply. If I lost my HD then I am screwed and lost a ton of work :( Note to self: start backing up files monthly :icon16:
