Ouch....that's a lot of $$$ to spend but from the pics you posted on the kit on another thread...it looks like it's worth it (if you can afford it). Make sure you start a progress thread on this build.

Why? For a model, sorry but that's a waste of money in my opinion. But if you are crazy enough to spend that much then go ahead.

How do you pull yourself through buying such an expensive kit?? By looking at all the detail on Pocher models, it looks like it would be fun to build!
If I had the money, I don't think I could just buy a model car, it's enough to even buy an actual car!
This is it for you, I agree with everyone else that you are CRAZY!

Yes, this is like a dream come true for a freak like me. It is enough to buy an actual car, but I already have one, a 2001 Honda Accord V6 EX sedan with automatic moonroof, automatic leather seats and a 6-disc in-dash CD player, 14,000 miles.

You got all the add-ons for this baby! Nice!
One little tip on sanding those photo etched parts: use a hold and fold devise to hold a piece tightly leaving the excess bit out, that way, you can easily sand parts down without bending, and twisting, good luck!
Hope that helps!

You could buy a REAL, nice classic car for that money and do it up if it isn't in perfect condition. Wouldn't you rather have something like a Thunderbird or Mustang or Porsche 911 than a model that doesn't work?

No. Anyway, why would I buy a second car if it wasn't better than my first one?

In my opinion, and seeing the small progress pics coupled with the parts-inventory and of course for the sake of being a "scale-model-enthusiast" -- it's money well spent. A turbo could very well make your current car faster, a new car would be - hell! a new car, some other stuff you could buy with $1,400 would be worth $1,400 -- but this model, which seems to be something Supercarfreak is apt on making, and keeping -- could be worth more than $1,400 in intangible money to him.
So let's leave him be, sit back, and be with him during his progress on the kit.
