How many miles to throttle cable destruction?

218,000 at least by what I see.
Had the throttle body off to replace the intake to heater pipe connector, and noticed a few loose strands in the throttle cable right when there button on the cable sheath end is. Pulled it out for a look, and it was never to go back again...totally unwound in there. Funny, no symptoms really, throttle worked good, no hanging. But did seem to be not going to WOT at times when I blasted on it. Bet that was why. Stretch.
Nice easy cable to do...not one tool needed. Like it was made by LEGO.

Downshifts appropriately and digs in hard like it used to when I blast it now. Cable was the problem.

Mine's getting close to 200k, I might just take a look at it since I have the top end off doing a LIM gasket replacement. It has plenty of room right now!
