look i am sick of all you tiburon haters out there you caused me to sign up to this thing to respond to it! i have a 2001 tiburon its jet black and its my baby! i installed a erebuni body kit with shark wing and invader style hood with pins interior has sparco racing seats diamond plate matts rockford fogate system dvd players screens racing guages custom paint work red and black the whole interior almost. engine has come very far i have 4-2-1 race headers 10.3 mm wires triple ground plugs from zex AEM cold air intake zex nitrouos system greddy turbo w/intercooler cat back exhaust carbon fiber muffler all pushing around 300 hp before the 75 shot of NOS all cylinders have been titanium plated! thats about it except for all the smaller upgrades so to answer someones question HERE IS YOU F*CKING 9 sec. hyundai! to all you hyundai haters - blow me your all talk... if not lets race! i am tring to get hyundai to sponcer my car to put in ads or take on tour she is really a bueaty!

i got most of it from shark racing and some i had to make myself. most of that was very hard to find b/c the tiburon is not very popular yet. but you need to go directly to the manufacturer to get any of that. i do have pics but i am at work and was bored so i will have to upload them later but i will show pics.

ur car does sound decent, but u aint pushing 300whp nor 300 bhp with just a turbo and headers and all that on ur 140 hp 4 banger. With nitrous you maybe close, but that's still a low 13 sec car at best with all that extra system in ur car. Go get dyno, run a real track post pics and then speak up

with an upgraded fuel system injectors delivery and chips yes it is and i have had it dynoed at 295 to the wheels the 75 shot boosted it to 367 i will post pics within 24 hrs but it is before the turbo was added it was from my last show.

I'd like to see the dyno paper, but it does sound like its a good car. But any car can be made fast with after market parts and I still don't respect hyundai's overall stock engineering.

But props to you for all that work.

That is not a 9 second Hyundai- the system would wiegh it down far too much and 295 hp ISN'T going to run anywhere near the 9's nice try though.

if u indeed got 395 hp...post a dyno...i'll host it for you.

also...with that hp, you would need a lsd...torque steer is crazy at 210 hp already. wat else...i'm not doubting that you have 395 as the i4 engine is built for turbo...can reach up to 250 with upgraded pistons, and 350 with new rods...up to 600 after taht....but i have a slight doubt..

Even the corvettes with the Z06 package can't run 9's, and they have 400 at the fly. The fastest that tib would go is maybe very high 12's but realistically low 13's. Not a hater. I also have a tib with the exhaust and cai and it kicks ass. You would realistically have to have around 500+hp to run decent 10's all day. Don't get mad but numbers are numbers. Post you slip time then make me a believer.

these days its kinda hard NOT making cars that can last. All the technologies are kinda standard in the world of automotives. One like u want to think that reliabilities = quality but not really. Your article is a proof that hyundai is catching up fast, but it doesn't really prove anything to real enthusiasts. Hyundai I guess got some approval from general mass, and that's fine. As for QUALITY, that a whole new topic.
