I'm about to put on a set of ceramic coated headers on my '97 prelude and i'm wondering if it is necessary to replace the factory heat shield on the new headers.
Any feedback is good feedback.
Thanks

most aftermarket header brands dont have the mounts for the heat shield on em, so unless you rig something up it aint going back on.
anyway, the motor wont get damaged without it there so long as no wiring comes into contact with the header.

the heat sheild is there just to stop stupid people from touching the pipes when there hot u dont need to replace it, and the headers look better without it.
