hi,
need advice.
87 rx7 needs new legs, the car will only be summer driven, so what would be a good choice, struts/springs(eibach), ground-control, or true coil-overs(tein). price is a consideration. the car may be raced in slaloms, but daily driving will probably be sporting 17" wheels. right now wheel gap in the front is ~1.5", while the back is 2". Does that mean a drop of 1.5" will cause rubbing?

any advice on brands would be great.

thanks

I say go with the fell TEIN adjustable setup, but that could be pretty expensive. I have a friend with a 98 Supra with an SP78 Turbo on it and the full TEIN suspension. You can get the electronic setup where it is possible to adjust ride height/ damper just with the push of a button on the console. I have a few other friend that have TEIN suspensions on their cars and they love it.

I guess eibach would be the cheaper solution. I have the Eibach pro kit on my Civic and it dropped the car about 2 inches all the way around. The car rides great and handles much better than stock, but not as well as a set of TEIN's would...I say go with the TEIN setup.

As far as the rubbing goes, there probably would be some rubbing around corners, it's pretty annoying actually, but it just depends on if you want to deal with it or not.

Go with Tein if you plan on racing it at all.... I sell it for $1050 for the kit and guarantee some badass handling
