A/C Vent Door

When turning on the a/c the door or flap within the dash that controls which vent the air flows into is stuck. It will open if I hit a bump in the road or some other way. Does this mean I'm low in refrigerant or do I need to change this part? The a/c is not as cold as it usually can be and that's another reason why I'm asking. A year ago I've replaced the entire system and everything was fine then.

Thanks in advance.

I think your actuator is vac controlled......need to see if the vac line to it is leaking or secured......or if it is getting vacuum......

Is your system 134a? replaced entire system?

Yes, the entire system has been upgraded to 134a. How do I check for vacuum?

Pull the glove box completely down(think you just have to bend some tabs)......this exposes the HVAC unit......you will probably have a controller that has a harness of about 4-5 vac lines attached to it.......it is secured with a nut....remove the nut....then the harness should come off......the purple line into the harness is the vacuum source.....just start car and see if you have vac....if you don't, you will have to find the line coming off the engine....it may go to a vac tank......check for vac into the tank and out of the tank.....

If you have vac, could have a controller problem...
