heater hose leak coolant

this is not my car helping out friend. friend asked to look and her 2005 impala 3400, it was overheating noticed there was no coolant, filled up reserve tank and radiator, noticed that coolant was leaking from a hole on the heater hose assembly below the bleeder valve. is it a sign of a bad water pump or a bad header hose assembly. arrow is placed where hole and leak is located.

Replace the hose and completely burp the system....
