I'm wonderin. I really would like to buy an Aoshima C-West RX7 from HLJ, however It is always not currently in stock and you have to back order. If I do this do you guys have any idea how long it would take for it to get sent out??
Also of all the Aoshima "tuner sport car models" like the C-West RX7, do their wheels actually look like the box art cover? Are the small with fat tyres like fujimi or big and low profile tyres?

Cheers

I am in Australia and I have been waiting months for my models to arrive. They were on back order for several weeks and when they came into stock they were supposed to be shipped. I haven't seen them yet and it's been a long time. I am very unhappy with HLJ and I wont use them again. I will try www.1999.co.jp and see how they go. Waiting over 2 months for models is not good enough IMO.

the reason it takes so long is because you are set to recieve all items at once. if you select to recieve whatever comes first you will get what is available. if you choose high demand models it will take time for them to ship. that is all there is. HLJ is a great site and i reccomend them i have always had good luck with their products

So, if a car on their site is in bold writing( in stock) then it shouldn't take long for it to get sent out. Even if it is popular like the C-West RX7. Right??
Also is it fine to get it sent out using SAL shipping or should I pay more and get the EMS shipping. i.e. is SAL shipping?
Also do you guys know if the Aoshima models have inglish instructions or just Japenese as I want to get the C-West RX7??

Thanks

C-west Rx-7 has been a popular item recently, when I ordered mine from HLJ I got it shipped out right away.

As mentioned before, HLJ tries to save the shipping cost by putting all items from different orders in one big box, so one would have to wait till the last piece of item comes to stock.

And of cuz, one could always ask them to ship what they already have.
Just that it ends up having 2 shipping charges.

If you find that ok then ask for a partial shipment.

C-west RX-7 comes with 2 sets of wheels.
The one on boxart ( Advan RG ), and the stock, with only one set of tires.

Their wheels look ok, defintely better than that of fujimi.
And sorry to break it to you but the instruction is in Japanese only.

Not to worry
There is a page in HLJ that translates Japanese color names to English.

Hope my info helps

Also if you wait for all items to ship, they will not hold items that are currently available. They will be sent to the next person on the list. If I want something bad or a limited production item like Studio 27 stuff, I have them send it right away. It's more expensive but you get what you want right away.

Thanks for your help guys!
I suppose that it doesn't really matter if it only has english instructions because you can just follow the instruction pictures and diagrams right??
So is the quality of this kit (Aoshima C-West RX7) good or will it need lots of putty and sanding work? As I am really a moderate beginner.

Also what about the shipping from HLJ. If I'm just buying 1 kit then should I get SAL or EMS? Is SAL fine or can the product get damaged?

Thanks guys.

Hi all,

I would just like to give a big :bigthumb: to HLJ.

I ordered the following from HLJ 9 days ago:

1/24 Tamiya Mitsubishi Evolution VII WRC
1/24 Tamiya Williams F1 BMW FW24
Studio27 grade-up parts for both
Black and Grey Gundam Markers

I am surprised and happy to say that my first order from HLJ arrived at my home in Australia after being shipped a day after being ordered (8 days total) using SAL!

I was expecting to wait at least a month after reading about experiences here. I hope this is a helpful indication to other Aussies reading this forum as to what kind of waiting times they can expect using SAL.

Can't wait to get into the new arrivals once my WRC Focus and Peugeot are completed.

I think Aoshima didn't expect this car to be so popular! They did not make enough for everybody! Aoshima must be busy making some more now!   My C-west RX-7 is in the back-order list also:bloated: :bloated: :bloated:
