coming across my first "custom" mods

i lost my hood vent louvre pieces for my Tamiya toyota SARD Supra... so now i have this huge gaping hole in my hood... i found some pieces within the kit that dont seem too necessary, so im in the process of using them and modifying them to fill the hole in my hole... this is my first custom mod of this sort, so dont expect to see anything too nice... i will post pics asap... also... has anybody tried lowering the SARD supra ? im planning on doing this once my Aoshima 19" wheels come in from HLJ, but damn ! theyre on BACKORDER !!!
