I replaced a broken brake line on my Malibu I bleed the car a n for somne reason my brakes would go all the way down I had to pump them to get them to work I figured that my master cylinder went bad I bought a new one bleed it on my work bench installed it bleeed car about 5 time and I have the same problem it does not have the abs please any advise would be appreciated thank

Did you bleed the lines at the M/C first?

Then did you bleed all four lines? RR, then LR, then RF, then LF?

If you had no problem before the line leaked, then you still have air in the system....

yes i did I must bleed car about 8 times rr lr rf lf and still break pedal goes all the way down have to pump it to get them to work thank u

I bleed master cylinder before installing on the car this is driving m crazy

Maybe it's not air in the lines. Are your rear brakes adjusted correctly? A lot of piston travel will give you a soft pedal.

doesn't backing up / putting on the brakes automatically adjust the rear brakes

It is supposed to. For some reason I was thinking that you took off the rear drums when bleeding the back brakes which you probably didn't. If your brakes were good before the line broke then just ignore my suggestion.
