how important is this

hey i had to replace my window track and the plastic sheet that should be there was torn the f*** up i got my car from an auction and had to scrap a crapload of parts from my wrecked 88 civic to get my car interior lookin nice, i know it's the weather barier but what are the consequences of not having it so far it's been a month or so and the only thing i'm noticing is a little more noise coming from that door but not very much should i invest in another one or not?

don't worry about them. I took mine out the first time i had to work on my door.....like 2 years ago. they are just dust covers.:smile:

i figured as much but i read in another post that they were important, so just wanted to ask.

I just had to pull my door cover off, cuz of my seat belt issue...the inside of my car (under all the interior trim) was dirty and dusty as hell...now I can't get the plastic to stick anymore - I can't imagine how dirty my car would be without those there... :frown:
