Bought a sedan.

Hey all...

Just went and made an offer on a 91 EX sedan. Here's the scoop:

• Burgundy paint in perfect shape, no chips, only one tiny ding that I could find.
• Body lines are totally straight, it had the rear passenger side quarter panel replaced, looks perfect.
• Burgundy interior in PERFECT shape... not a single tear or wear-mark on any of the seats, not even the driver seat.
• PW, PL, PM, AC, etc. etc. etc. All the power accessories work without any problems. May have to recharge the AC though.
• It's an automatic, but it's for my g/f and she doesn't want to learn how to drive a stick.
• The driver-side of the front bumper hangs down a bit, but I figure it's probably just a bent re-inforcement or something. Bet I can fix it easy.
• D16A6 engine in GREAT shape... less than 100,000 miles on the odometer. Runs great, lots of pep, even for an automatic. Engine bay is clean as hell!
• I could only find one spot with rust, and it was on the trunk-lid by one of the rubber stoppers.
• Even the trunk is in perfect shape. Looks like the trunk was NEVER used!

Anyways, all that for $2,700. What do you think?


Sorry, I forgot to bring along my digicam, so I didn't get pics, but when I pick the car up tomorrow I will get some and post them.

First thing I'm doing is putting my Konig Tuners on it, and swapping my girls stereo from her POS to the sedan, and I'm going to put in 2 amps and some subs for her also (got alot of subs/amps just laying around, so all I'll need is some wiring).

you said it was an LX though ... so did the previous owner swap in an a6? if so did he also do mpfi? ... anyways lets see it asap.

Okay...

I've got 2 Soundstream 12's in a ported/carpeted box.

I've got 2 MTX Thunder 2000 10's in a ported/carpeted box.

I've got a 10" SAS bazooka tube (with built-in amp).

I've got 2 Kenwood 120W 1 channel amps.

I've got 1 MTX Amp... can't remember the wattage, but it's like 430W or something.

I've got Two 10" Kicker Solobaric subs in a sealed/carpeted box.

Think that's it...

I think I'll be keeping the Kenwood amps and the MTX's or Solobarics, but I could probably part with the rest for a decent offer.

NICE! :thumbsup: - I think that little rust by the rubber bumper on the trunk lid is pretty common. I have that on mine too, and it isn't too bad.. I have noticed a little rust at the bottom corner of my door :(, but none around the wheel wells yet.

Update on sedan...

Well, I've been waiting for a week to get this sedan, but it has to be inspected before I can get it. At first, it was going to be inspected in Idaho, since that's where the car is from, but we found out that it will have to be inspected/titled in washington instead. It used to be that you could just roll up to the WA state patrol and have them inspect it, but now, it's by appointment only, and the most recent appointment I could make was for July 9th, so it's going to be at least another week... :mad:

This is pissing me off really bad. I'm going back to look at it again today, at which time, I'll take some pics. The shop that I'm buying it from wants me to bring my Konig Tuners over there because it's got Studded snow tires on right now, and won't pass inspection with them on, so I should be able to get some pics of the rims on it as well...

What a fucking hassle... Oh well, just thought I'd vent.

Very nice... I have only ever seen maroon EXs... never see other colors...

what part of idaho was it from? i'm up in moscow during the school year to go to school at university of idaho, we could mob to meets or some shit.

Theres a gray EX 5 speed down the street from me, its in pretty bad shape though. Its a shame more people dont get into keeping their cars in decent condition, its too much fun.

Those rims are optional Honda OEM rims...I think back when the Prelude & Accord had 4x100 lug patterns. - The timeframe would be like mid-late 80's.

Looks pretty good dude...and you should be able to pop that bumper cover back up on its perch pretty easy :thumbsup:

man....what the hell were people thinkin in the 80's and early 90's....its clean and all but i just couldent stand that color interior, yuck...no offense to you ci5ic im just sayin

Yeah, I don't like the color either, but oh well. It's for my girlfriend anyways (Hence the slushbox instead of stick).
