13 Equinox ignition issue

I have a 2013 Equinox LTZ with about 11k miles on it. About a week or so ago I was sitting at a red light and I wanted to remove the rest of the keys from my keychain because I was going for a run and only wanted to take the car key with me. The car was running at the time with the key in the ignition. As I removed the ring containing the other keys, it moved the ignition key a little bit - and the radio did a reboot - it went blank and then went through the startup cycle.
Not sure if anyone else may have experienced anything like this. With the recent ignition issues with older Chevy's I was concerned that the problem might still be around in the newer models.
This has only happened once, but I've been reluctant to try it again.

Sounds like the ign switch moved just enough to cut off the accessory circuit, could be you just moved it slightly too much, try it in your driveway where it is safe, see what happens.
