the title is self explanatory but just wondering what is a civic cx i've only seen a couple on the road and i wonder what makes them different. and did they make them in 4g?

the cx is i believe the lightest 6th gen hatch out there, as stock as stock can come. they werent made in the 4th gen era.

The HF was a special CRX built for fuel efficiency. It's different than the STD, which was a hatch-only model.
The HF had about the same power as the STD, although it had more torque thanks to MPFI. It got about 50 MPG though, compared to the STD's 33.

the 5th gen CX is the equivelant to the CRX HF. It had a 1.5L SOHC 8 valve engine with MPFI exactly like the CRX HF (quarter sized).
It was designed for fuel mileage, although the better choice was the VX VTEC-e engine.
