The change oil light on my 2013 will not reset. I have tried the routine advised in the manual - turning key to on/accessory and depressing the gas pedal slowly 3 times turning to off and then starting but it does not work. Any ideas?

Same procedure 07 buick. Takes several attempts before it will reset. Try going faster.

Geez.. very frustrating. I have tried it about 10 times, sometimes slow sometimes quickly. I even removed the key after off position to see if that would work. Is there a sensor that could have gone bad?

Doubtful. Just did this yesterday, took over 10 tries to get mine to reset.

Well the first time this happen to me, tried all day. Wife kept b****ing about the light. Friend stopped(mechanic) 1st try, it reset. Go figure. He did exactly what I had been trying.

I hate to admit it, but my mistake was that I thought that there were 3 key settings: Off --run/ accessory--start. I found out that there are actually 4 key settings. Off--accessory--on/ run--Start. It is real easy to move from the 2nd setting to 4th without even realizing the 3rd. Any way I found the 3rd setting and it worked the first time. So I guess all is well, and a new lesson learned.
