wheel trouble

When I slam on my breaks there is a grinding noise coming from the front driver side wheel and the smell of rubber. Also when I do a u-turn the same thing happens. If anyone knows what the problem is and could tell me that would be a huge help thanks. I own a 1999 honda accord v6

Sounds like a tire is rubbing when you turn your wheel all the way to the left and when you make the front end dive on heavy breaking.
