In CA I have seen like from 16-20

11th grade is usually entering as 16yo and leaving as 17yo.

i started as 16 turned 17. now i am going to be a senior. thats a strange thought:bloated:

In general, one should graduate High School at 18 years of age. Sometimes, individuals start school too early or too late, or their birthday is such that they get older the year after entering a grade.

High school:
12th: 17 to 18
11th: 16 to 17
10th: 15 to 16
9th: 14 to 15

Middle school:
8th: 13 to 14
7th: 12 to 14

Elementary school:
6th: 11 to 12
5th: 10 to 11
4th: 9 to 10
3rd: 8 to 9
2nd: 7 to 8
1st: 6 to 7
K: 5 to 6

Note: Some school have a Junior High School system (7th, 8th, and 9th grade). Some Middle Schools include 6th grade.

i'll be 16 as a sophomore, 17 for junior, and 18 for senior.

I turned 16 about a month before I entered 11th grade (Junior year in HS). Most people turn 17 during 11th grade, but I guess I'm just special... or so they told me on the short bus. :bloated:

High Octane, you're a cutie too! so young going into such a big grade! lol, I was 15 too, the only drawback to that is that once you get into your senior year, you can't do alot of things that your older classmates do, like go to R-rated movies, clubs,....... (or you can get around it like I did... :tongue:)

So it's like 6th Form for me meaning I was a 11th grader 12 years ago............Nice:sunglasse

I was 16-17 when I was in 11th grade. This kid I went to high school just got kicked out because he was 21 and still in the 11th grade. Funny shit.

It varies, like I mentioned, in WV you only have to graduate high school before your oldest kid, if you don't the throw you out :icon16:

Another little WV law is that even after you divorce your cousin, they are still your cousin.:bloated:
