Last Saturday... In my hometown of Houston, Tx.
I saw something that I have never witnessed before.

A V8 Engine inside of a S14>1996... what the hell is going on?

Is this the Engine Swap of the future... V8?

Im not sure what kind of a V8 but... I think Chevy Engine...

Was this is? http://www.limecreekmotorsports.com/project240SS.htm

that's Aries' car like someone said before. I'm pretty sure he's from Texas so chances are it was him.
There is a video on the net somewhere of him getting spanked by a lude boosting only 7 psi. I'll see if I can find this vid again.

edit: found the vid saved on my comp so i put it on my website. you need either divx or the newest windows media player to see it.
download video here (http://members.cox.net/enzowho/turbolude walks lt1 240sx.avi)

thats kinda cool, but if i was gonna put a v8 in somethin i think it would have to be older such as a 280 or a porsche 914 or somethin like that.

i won't hate...

i'll say i don't like the idea, but that's because i'm a drifter. for drag-racing...it might turn out to be a good idea in the end, but for drifting, that's a definite no-no.

I think the reason more people aren't doing this swap is that it is like the answer to a question no one asked. Until people see a V8 240SX that can really tear it up and not lose to a busted turbo Prelude in need of a rebuild, people will probably do without.

I'm not trying to spread any rumors, but I have a friend that knows Aries, and he said that the engine is actually some sort of Buick V8, rather than an LT1. I was wondering if it was the LT1 from the Roadmaster(basically Impala SS), but my friend didn't know for sure.

As for V8s in a 240SX, I'd much rather see a VH or VK swap. I think the folks at Freshalloy said that a VH will fit.

Actually I wont hate...

If it was a Buick V8, or an LT1, that would be cool

Dont laugh at Roadmasters, they hauled ass

who's laughing? i just don't like the idea of american iron in a 240SX. doesn't match. it's like putting pickle brine in your cereal, it just doesn't work.

Roadmasters do own, no doubt about that.

No matter the origin of the Engine if it "GO's" it aint "SHOW"... hahaha
Basically what im saying is if it can fit in and give it power it shouldn't matter if its Jap, Kor, USA, etc...
