Looking good! You should make the boot side or rear hinged, same for the bonnet, I had some little troubles with mine when I put them on as the instructions say.

well I've seen many lowrider modellers cut their roof and they looked unique, but i wanted a pattern no one probably never seen before. It will be a while for the car to be mainly started though i still have to order primer and rubbing compound and wax and automotive paint online (when you come to this board you really learn how a car should be built)

Anyway the name of it (because/reason of the unique roof) is "Under the Influence"

I am still looking for more ways to mod it for now though.

What colours are you ordering for it? As for more mods you could keep the "S" scheme going. You do graf? If so you could do tech murals of S on the boot or bonnet. That is only a suggestion for the paint. You should cut perspex or clear plastic to the shapes on the roof to make targas. Good luck with it!!

i want to make it in a forest green (kinda suites the name "under the influence"), tan seats with green insets. Chrome chassis and a slightly lighter green underbody

coming out nice. I was building that model, then decided to just stop building it (and models all together at the time).

This is what i did with the door on mine.

aight here are pics of the seats to give an idea of what the interior will look like (still have to do some touch ups where the two colors meet) both pics are terrible, the first one has speckles but more detail, the second is the opposite (less detail no speckles)

:swear: i need a digital camera i'm getting tired of using this web cam.

spaceratk
07-12-2003, 12:39 PM
and the second (i forgot the url to the upload page)...

spaceratk

for the person who wanted to know, the rims will be the chrome daytons that came with the kit.

(oh i learnt something... i can't brush paint interiors that good :icon16: . From now on its spray paint)

Cool, well keep the progress coming. Have you tried the upload picture feature? Click here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/upload) . Upload the photo from your computer, then copy the images HTML and paste it in you post with the image tags at either end, these being: [img ]*Image HTML here*[/img ]

Do that without the spaces in the brackets and you will be able to load multiple pictures in one post (repeating the brackets for each individual image)

And don't give up on brush painting just yet, you should practice on some crappy models and you will get better and better as you do more. It comes in handy when you are going to detail models yourself
