Uh oh! Tranny Problem?

About 2 days ago I noticed what might be a problem with my transmittion. You guys know that when you test drive a car you should drive somewhere like next to a wall to hear for funny sounds right? Well I noticed a screaching sound coming from under my car in situations where the sound has a place to ricochet off of, or when I park my car in gear, let out the clutch and let off the brake. I have narrowed the sound to the drivetrain, eg. tranny, axles, because I can only hear it in situations where the tranny is pulling or holding back the car. It is just one quick screach as pressure is applied to the tranny, mostly when I'm in say 3rd gear and I totally let off the gas. Being someone that knows nothing about transmittions, I'd say it sounds like the transmittion is loose? Anyone have any ideas?
P.S. For all who are reading this that don't own an Acura / Honda...This is in no way a representation of the reliability of this car. Before I got my Integra, one of the previous owners beat the living hell out it.
