k i read it and learned alot but i have a few questions.
Does primer come in a spray can? And i really wasn't sure this is what the post meant , but when you use the primer and it strinks the paint does that mean that door seams etc are more visible?
how do you use the foilk paper to chrome parts?
thats it for now thanks.

how do you use the foilk paper to chrome parts? The foil we use (Bare Metal Foil, etc.) is very thin and it's self-adhesive. You lay it on the part, rub it down with a cotton bud, then trim the edges away with a sharp knife.

thanks for the quick reply.
what i meant is when you use the primer and it strinks the paint does this make door seams more visible (in other words stop the paint from taking away the detail of the door lines etc)

ohhh... see i am pretty new to models and the first time i heard about using foil the idiot stated it was kitchen foil.... but i guess that makes me pretty gullible. :bloated:

i think he means SHRINKS
but normally when primer is completely dried , it doesnt shrink. putty on the other hand does have the tendency to shrink over time

The paint and primer technically does shrink as it cures, but the amount's insignificant with regard to the details of the car. It's only important when putting layers of paint over each other, as the changes as the paint cures can cause the paint to bubble, crack, etc...
